Last Friday I really enjoyed watching a pair of Moorhens with their new brood on the river at Afton Marsh.
This footage shows the 2 parents feeding the 4 chicks with some soggy bread. Then there's a clip of the female with her feathers fluffed out as she broods the chicks under her wings, the final clip showing various bits of the young ones!
And I love this extended clip as the chicks take a break out of the water on top of part of a tree in the middle of the river. The chicks are beautiful, aren't they!! :-)
